LOST AND FOUND IN TRANSLATION

I had to choose a random item that belongs in or around the house. After this I had to draw a straight line on a world map at a random angle, with my house positioned on the line. I had to make an imaginary journey around the world following this line and translate or adapt the chosen item to any country I came across. Then I had to propose a way to exhibit the new translations that I found on my trip around the world.

I chose a dinner plate because this belongs in and around the house. It's a nice item to make a translation with. On the world map you can see the journey I took and made the translations to the countries with the different kind of cultures, languages, political situations and topography. You can click on the dinner plates to see my process and research for every one of the dinner plates.

Then I chose a special way to exhibit my work so that everybody who lays their eyes on it would be very curious and would want to take a look.
